I set up a free account for my son to run and around and mess with.

I had never played it but it looks interesting.

I have been playing this. pretty impressed with this game.

Thelanis server Madclaw, Warclaws are the guys to look for. I have a guild tag up and ready as well.

This has been one of the most enjoyable games I have ever played.

We have a nice large group playing as well. Probably over 70 active members if anyone wants to try it out. I have items and gold to help you out.

I was thinking about running that one. I was reading about it...got side tracked with the duel pistols for Hero side in City of Heroes..

I played the beta...hated it.
Purchased it at retail, hoping for a miracle.

That was what, 4 years ago or more?
I'm sure it's worlds better from what I remember.
Free is good.

IIRC Turbine was the developer. Are they still running the show?

This is the one game I have actually created more than one toon. I have 3 guys I play on a regular basis. Raids last around 30-45min you only need 12 guys to raid. It uses D&D ruleset so you can multiclass. You can create just about any character you want. I created a wizard that tanks highend raids.. pretty interesting.

Turbine is the developer and they were recently purchased by... Warner Brothers mainly to get Turbine's access to the LotR MMO. but the free to play and micro payment system works very well for Turbine.

There are some quirks.. but for the most part I play every night. We have around 50 active members on Thelanis who raid/group or have something going on every night from level 1 to level 20.

I didnt play beta so I did not come into it with a preconceived notion. I was never going to play it til someone said.. hey try ddo its free.. now 6 months later I am having a blast where I didnt think i would.

Currently playing Eve and Global Agenda.
Red Dead Redemption looks like fun; I hope it delivers.

I'll take another peek at DDO in the near future since you endorse it so strongly.
If I stick more than a week, I'll look you up.

Yup, on Sarlona with 20 pal alt guild leader for The Courageous Souls.

Was in early beta, then back last year after, what ? 4 year hiatus

I like the PnP feel and minimal politics. I swap SciFi/Fantasy, last was Eve Online with mega politics.

Poke around in Eve here and there, though I suck at it. Terribly.
